What a lovely staircase! Rereading your Blog to catch up (I skimmed Blogs quickly the last few days but hadn't got time to comment), your post reminded me of something an English teacher once said.
Ask someone to describe a spiral, and they will always, ALWAYS, do the gesture with their hand. To prove it, when another student came to deliver a message to our class, he asked them to describe a spiral. True enough, the student gestured a spiral with his hand!
The general idea of this challenge is to take 366 pictures during the year 2008, each one depicting one of the themes listed below. The themes can be taken in random order, and the pictures don't absolutely have to be one per day. If you miss posting a picture one day, it can be made up. The bottom line is that you post 366 pictures spread out over the year and covering all 366 themes.

Great shot for the theme. The first one works especially well - the lines work great.
cool staircase and perfect for this theme
What a beautiful staircase! I love the upward shot.
That is so beautiful and a very interesting and mysterious story to go along with it...
