Ladder (54)

This is a decorative kiva ladder. It is in the traditional style that has been used in Indian pueblos for generations. This has become an icon in design for flat-roofed, southwest style houses. (No - it's not our house.)

It is a lovely pic....of a lovely house! So fun to see different styles than one is used to. We would NEVER get by with flat roofs here!

Yes, most of them are not made for use - just decoration.

I thought it was just a ladder against a wall that someone had left, and that was why you'd taken the photo! Then I read on - see, another thing I've learnt today about a foreign place. Thank you :D
