The old Route 66 passed through Albuquerque, where Central Avenue is now. Here's the 66 Diner, housed in one of the many original structures lining Central Avenue. I took a drive down Central this afternoon to take these photos. Too bad I didn't have time to stop for one of the 66 Diner's burgers and malts!

I am sooo jealous! I would love to have a place like that around hear again. We used to have a diner close by, but it closed and they moved it. Never heard where it moved to. Love the presentation. Grammom

This is just so retro - perfect! Love the building and wish we had something like this around too. I also like the effect, really lends itself to the architecture.
