You never have to wonder which direction is East when you're in Albuquerque. The Sandia Moutain Range is on the extreme east side of Albuquerque, and is visible wherever you are in the city. The elevation, at Sandia Peak, is 10,678 feet; Albuquerque's elevation is over 5,000 feet at the mountain's base. This shot was taken this evening, from the deck in my backyard, looking . . . east, of course.

Wow - Linda this is a breath-taking view, and a beautiful shot.
Lisa, I'm sorry to have switched out photos after you posted your comment. Maybe this one isn't as "breath-taking." Do you want me to delete your comment?
WOW! That's all I can say.
What a wonderful view.
Gorgeous shot Linda. Keep em coming.
Wow - now that's a view worth paying for! My mountain might well have to be something more abstract, like a mountain of paperwork!
Linda,
That sky is like none I've seen before and the light is so beautiful.
I wonder if you mind if I link to your blog in mine? http://juliems366in2008.blogspot.com/ I'm also compiling a list of 366 blogs at http://photoshopelementsight.com/Sight/Forums.html and would like to add your blog there. Let me know if you prefer not!
Julie M - That would be just fine :-)
Would you like me to add a link to yours here in mine? I'd be happy to. Just let me know.
Glad you enjoyed the Mountain picture. The light was really awesome, which is why I dashed outside and snapped a few photos.
Linda, both mountain shots are great, I don't mind if you leave my earlier comment, it's up to you :-)
Hi Linda,
Happy to have you link to mine. Thanks! Thanks too for spreading the word about the project...
