Moonlight (79)
* This is tonight's moon, taken from our back yard. It's not quite full - full moon will be tomorrow night. If you click to see the larger image, you can see more detail.
Cheap tripod. And I used my Sony DSC-H5, which is SLR-like, but no removable lens. It has a 12x optical zoom. This photo, of course, was cropped, and had enough pixels to show well on screen; but if printed, it couldn't be cropped this closely.
The general idea of this challenge is to take 366 pictures during the year 2008, each one depicting one of the themes listed below. The themes can be taken in random order, and the pictures don't absolutely have to be one per day. If you miss posting a picture one day, it can be made up. The bottom line is that you post 366 pictures spread out over the year and covering all 366 themes.

That must be one huge ass zoom you have, or a telescope! (and a good tripod). Great job!
Ha! Thanks, Helen.

Great shot, I was going to ask about the lens too!
The moon was fabulous here early last evening. I've never had any luck with moon photos so didn't even get the camera out. Thanks for sharing yours!
